Description

Spoil yourself in our self-contained three and one bedroom seaside cottages each with ocean view, and your guaranteed to be surrounded by wildlife. Fully self contained one and three bedroom Seaside Cottages on the north coast of Kangaroo Island. Cottages are set on 80 acres bordering Stokes Bay beach and being revegetated, providing sanctuary to abundant wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, birds, echidnas, and the occasional koala discovering our newly planted gums. Pods of dolphins and resident pelicans are also sighted often at Stokes Bay.

Stokes Bay is located on the north coast of Kangaroo Island, 30 minutes from Kingscote Airport and 1 hour from Penneshaw Ferry Terminal. The cottages are located 5 minutes walk from Stokes Bay beach.

Awesome location, great accomodation

"Awesome location and stay at these beautiful cottages, which are on a large area overlooking Stokes Bay and surrounding hills. Kangaroos and sheep grazing out the front. Great communications from the owners and finding a local bottle of wine and honey was a welcome surprise The cottage was very spacious and fully furnished with all the essential amenities including cooking. The cabins are very well spaced apart to ensure privacy. Stokes Bay Beach, recently voted one of the best beaches in Australia, is a short walk away. Amazing sunset views from our balcony. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island."

Wonderful stay

"Beautiful location. Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies to see, and sweeps as well. No light pollution so able to see the stars at night, including the Milky Way if it's a new moon. Great hospitality from the hosts. Within driving distances to many popular attractions."

Wildlife -both fauna and flora and water views

"A business the 2020 fires has caused alot of heartache for but the owners still ensure you have a great time at their cabins, extra towels to help with our skin problems, a lovely hand written welcome note, bottle of wine, local produce, sunsets at your veranda over the ocean, Not sure what more you could ask for!!!"

Highlight of our Trip to Oz

"Forget Sydney Opera House, Kangaroo Island is the place to come when visiting Australia and these cabins are just magic! We had visited the island before and had come back to see how it was recovering following the terrible wild fires. Although the amount of wild-life has sadly diminished and there are still signs of the devastation in parts of the island, the inhabitants (both two and four legged!) have been amazingly resilient and it is just a delightful place to stay. The cabins themselves are situated on the cliff over-looking idyllic Stokes Bay, which has just been voted one of the best beaches in Australia (although never crowded on account of its remote location). They are nicely spaced, allowing for plenty of privacy and are furnished very attractively and comfortably. The kitchen area is well equipped and the fluffy robes provided on a par with the best hotels! The views are spectacular and to be able to hand-feed the wild kangaroos which roam around the grounds and visit the balcony is just the icing on the cake. There are other animals on-site and parrots , pelicans and dolphins frequent the bay and the area. Other than that, it is just a haven of peace and quiet. The hosts are extremely helpful should you need advice or have a problem. If only we could have stayed longer!"
