Waves and Wildlife Cottages-the place to stay on Kangaroo Island
"Staying at Waves and Wildlife Cottages is truly a unique experience not to be missed. We had stayed there 10 years ago and came back knowing what a special place it is. From kangaroo sightings, and this time feedings to remarkable views, the cottages are located in the most beautiful setting. The owners/host are 2 wonderful people who provide all the essentials plus more including a welcoming basket of goodies. Highly recommend staying here should you have the pleasure of being on Kangaroo Island."

Our Kangaroo dream experience!
"We stayed at Waves and Wildlife for three nights in June and it was everything we had hoped it would be. The unit is well kept, stocked and the rooms were perfect for us. We had the three bedrooms unit which ended up being a room for my husband and myself, one for my two nieces, and one for the suitcases. The location was great for what we wanted. It was cold and rainy one day and it definitely was not the time of year for the beach. The kangaroos in front and behind the unit in addition to the sheep including a two day old just born was beyond anything we hoped for. It was fabulous. Just what I wanted our girls to share with us. We had about 30 to 40 kangaroos that came right up to us and we fed them day and night. Our hosts, Katja and Paul were always available. I think if you have a family that wants to experience the real remote area of Kangaroo Island it is perfect. We drove everywhere everyday. We did get back by dusk and did see the Roos beginning to run across the road as sunset began. We used the car everywhere and saw everything we planned. A wonderful family memory. My husband and I were in KI about 15 years ago. So glad to see the growth after the devastating fires. We were also able to find the trees down the road Paul directed us to with the Koalas in them. A perfect experience!"

Unforgettable stay at Stokes Bay
"An unforgettable stay with the kangaroos. We met Paul and visited with him briefly. He could not have been more gracious and Katja left a sweet note, a nice bottle of wine, and a local jar of honey upon our arrival. Highly recommend for a laid back, slightly rustic, genuinely authentic experience in KI!"

Awesome location, great accomodation
"Awesome location and stay at these beautiful cottages, which are on a large area overlooking Stokes Bay and surrounding hills. Kangaroos and sheep grazing out the front. Great communications from the owners and finding a local bottle of wine and honey was a welcome surprise The cottage was very spacious and fully furnished with all the essential amenities including cooking. The cabins are very well spaced apart to ensure privacy. Stokes Bay Beach, recently voted one of the best beaches in Australia, is a short walk away. Amazing sunset views from our balcony. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Kangaroo Island."

Wonderful stay
"Beautiful location. Plenty of kangaroos and wallabies to see, and sweeps as well. No light pollution so able to see the stars at night, including the Milky Way if it's a new moon. Great hospitality from the hosts. Within driving distances to many popular attractions."
