Good food, service not so much
"I’d give it 3.5/5 if I could. Overall, the food was good. My only complaint there was a very weak Bacardi and coke for $11.50. The service was bad from the start. We didn’t get acknowledged for a while after sitting down and when we were, it was to take our full order, not our drink order. Then our food took a very long time to arrive. We watched multiple tables get their meals even though they arrived and ordered after us. We ended up asking a different server about our food. It did come out hot so at least it hadn’t been just sitting there a while. Our server literally never checked back at our table after delivering our drinks, not even to make sure the steak was ok."

Excellent dinner, friendly and efficient service
"Location - inside the Mercure hotel at American River, easy to find Atmosphere- casual , comfortable Service - friendly staff, quite efficient Food - I had both breakfast and dinner once at this restaurant, and I was very happy with all the food I had . The eggs Benedict for breakfast were tasty , but the highlight was the dinner I had there. The beef galbi appetizer was tasty and prepared nicely , but I absolutely loved the crispy skin barramundi - the skin was so crispy and the fish so fresh ! The only issue I had - portion sizes were generous for both appetizer and main course ! I highly recommend this restaurant"

Dinner at Reflections - bad experience
"The Restaurant itself is quite old-fashioned; the atmosphere was ok. But the food was really terrible. I ordered the Barramundi with vegetables and Truffles sauce and cherry tomato confit. The fish was ok, the truffles sauce was a cauliflower sauce, and the cherry tomato confit was just pure (cold) cherry tomatoes put aside. Tasted nothing. The staff was friendly but overwhelmed as I suppose, these are just temporary staff (backpackers). No sorry - just staring at me, when I complained. Cannot recommend this restaurant, which is btw a Restaurant of Mercure Hotel."

A surprisingly good dining experience
"We were staying at the nearby River Suites. A dearth of dinner options meant we had two evening meals here. Forget your preconceived ideas about chain hotel restaurants - this is a kitchen with some talent! Local ingredients were presented in an interesting way- not challenging but delicious."
