"Spot with lots of local character. Locals with Thai background who cook dinner once a week on Thursday evenings in a shed in a paddock some distance from any town. Shed is full of oddments to look at (fishing rods, toy panes, surfboards, pool table, dart board, artwork and other random interesting things. There is a bar. You can book a table. We went with the set menu which is three entrees (spring rolls, curry puffs and a type of dim sim) and five different dishes, including chicken, beef, seafood, pad thai and a lamb dish all for $30 a head. Great experience and good fun. "

Fresh tasty dinner in a shed? Why not.

"To be fair, we turned up about 7.30pm so the food selection was pretty low. But what we did have was a great variation on Thai food as I know it. We asked for Pad Thai which I thought would be like fish and chips-common, but they don't make it. Priced very well - even the beers are cheap for KI - it's a bit of a quirk to be eating nice food on a cold wet night in a shed beside a fishing boat. Not sure I'll equal that again. People are very friendly, they had gas heaters going for the non-locals (spotted by kids wearing shorts...) and the portions were decent. I'd suggest getting there earlier so the full range of food is available."

Something different unique gluten free.

"A unique experience, various seating areas, quiet or bustling. Live music enjoyable. The pad thai was nice and no ill effects to coeliac. "
